Bracegirdle's House of Fine Chocolate

When Bracegirdle’s House of Fine Chocolate first opened the doors to its flagship Jetty Road store back in 2005, it was one of Adelaide’s first and only dessert bars. A proud South Australian, family-owned business, they’re well known for decadent desserts, rich hot chocolate, and exceedingly good coffee. All the beautifully hand-crafted chocolates are made in-house by highly skilled chocolatiers. This training has certainly paid off, with the company now boasting the enviable title of ‘Australia’s Most Awarded Chocolate Company’.

LOCALS LOVE:

The staff and friendly locals are like extended family, and the old-world charm of the building and selected furnishings makes it feel like home.

MUST TRY DISHES:

  • Vintage Big Breakfast - bacon, fried eggs, roasted tomato, mushrooms, BG's beans, hash browns & toasted sourdough with butter.
  • Double Decker Waffle - two Belgian sugar waffles with strawberries, banana, liquid Belgian chocolate & vanilla ice cream.
  • Mudslide - towering stack of meringue, vanilla ice cream, and fresh strawberries all covered with liquid Belgian chocolate.

Glenelg BBQ Inn Steakhouse

Still serving the best steaks at Glenelg, The BBQ Inn opened in 1975. Fourth generation and grandson Martin, continues the tradition of sourcing pasture and grain feed beef which is aged and butchered on-site. All steaks are cooked over charcoal and grilled to your liking.

MUST TRY DISHES:

  • The BBQ Inn’s mixed grill - small porterhouse, kobasice (beef and pork garlic sausage), four chevapchichi, plus your choice of a lamb, beef or chicken shashlik.

Feed

Delicious brekkie and lunch are guaranteed at FEED. A local favourite since 2018, Jackie is a legend around The Bay. Serving all-day breakfast and lunch, including healthy salad, burgers, parmi, coffee, tea, juices, smoothies, and cakes. We asked Jackie why he loves The Bay, “I love working here because I get to see my friendly regular customers every day. Glenelg is a vibrant unique area in Adelaide where I find both local friendly customers and travellers from all over the world.”

MUST TRY DISHES:

  • Smashed avo bruschetta with dukkah and balsamic glaze.
  • Grilled halloumi served with smashed avo, free-range poached eggs on sourdough rye.
  • Warm chicken salad with grilled chicken, cherry tomato, cucumber, fennel, mixed lettuce, cooked veg & special avocado dressing.

North Indian Cuisine

A seriously tasty eat and a local institution, North Indian Cuisine is a must try for the lover of Indian food. Authentic curries, fluffy naan and lots of vego options make this a Jetty Road secret spot. So good you may need to line up, but trust us, it's worth it! Priced from $5.90 it’s great value, fresh and super delicious!

The Jetty Bar

The Jetty Bar is an iconic beachside pub located on the edge of Moseley Square and is only meters from the pristine waters of Glenelg Beach. Serving up a cold pint since 1869, The Jetty Bar has survived World Wars, The Great Depression, and other historical events. Its front bar is home to many great stories and tall tales, and it prides itself by supporting and employing locals. Locals love the vibrancy, iconic location, and the many cultures and walks of life that make this pub great. Offering a mouth-watering selection of classic pub food, cold beers on tap, and local SA Wines, The Jetty Bar is proudly South Australian owned and operated.

MUST TRY DISHES:

  • 300-gram panko crumbed chicken schnitzel, seasoned chips and salad.
  • Beef Burger - angus beef patty, hickory smoked bacon, American cheddar, caramelised onion, lettuce, pickles, tomato relish, and seasoned chips.
  • Locally sourced Cooper’s beer battered fish, seasoned chips, tartare, and citrus.

Indochine Noodle Bar

A Jetty Road staple, Indochine Noodle Bar boasts an extensive, traditional, and contemporary Asian menu. Choose from wok-tossed creations, noodles, char-grilled dishes and more. Located in the heart of Glenelg, some favourites include Vietnamese noodle soup, seafood laksa, and crispy chicken wings.
