James the Salon

Flooded with natural light, James the Salon speaks to warmth in both design and atmosphere. When local hair maven Kirsty Sage founded the salon in 2019, she sought to establish a client-centric experience, fostering confidence and female empowerment with every flick of the iron. The boutique salon hosts five immaculate mirror stations and a custom colour table, where clients are encouraged to unwind over a coffee or work on their devices. In the warmer months, they can even soak in Jetty Road, Glenelg’s atmosphere from the first floor’s balcony, lined with olive trees.

The Royal Moody Barber & Shave Parlour

1B Rose St, Glenelg

Handsome leather chairs, eclectic art and vinyl tunes are beckoning us to this inclusive community barber shop and shave parlour. With the skill to create spectacular avant-garde looks, The Royal Moody’s core services cover cuts, fades, beard trims, buzz cuts and colour, also catering for kids under 12 and pensioners. The talented team can execute a suave style as well as they can carve a cheeky mullet, plus clients can book ahead online. From Tuesday to Saturday, The Royal Moody touts toasties, coffee, pastries and treats beginning at breakfast time.

Cut Snake Barber Shop

Exposed brick, rustic stone, timber floors and studded leather sofas set the mood for cuts, shaves and good times at Cut Snake. The styling stations are surrounded by glossy black subway tiles and wall-to-wall mirrors, offering a full range of barber services to both young and seasoned clientele. Blow Dry Bar’s stylists pride themselves on being at the forefront of the latest trends in hair, providing a welcoming space for their clients to evolve their look or totally transform. The Glenelg salon launched in March this year, specialising in customised colour and hand-tied hair weft extensions, using only natural Australian products that are free of harsh chemicals.
