There’s always something delicious to discover on Jetty Road. Here are a few of our favourites for you to try this winter.
Massey Espresso Cucina Dolce
Massey Espresso Cucina Dolce is a big hit with locals. Specialising in Italian cuisine, you can enjoy all the classics as well as some delicious dessert options. As the owner and head chef, Massey has been cooking and baking for years and decided to open her own shop after gaining experience in the hospitality field. “People love my food. That alone gives me a big boost. I really enjoy seeing customers coming back for my food and desserts. I make a new batch of cakes every morning, ready for them. Making almost everything from scratch, it is like a little piece of Italy right here on Jetty Road. I really enjoy seeing my customers every day, and we usually talk about what’s going on in their lives. I love these moments so much.”
Must try for foodies
If you're wondering what to try at Massey Espresso Cucina Dolce, you can't go wrong with the pizzas, made with house-made dough, homemade tomato sauce, and fiori di latte (fresh, high-quality mozzarella). Massey also recommends the pastas, made with simple, authentic ingredients. The tomato bruschetta is popular with the regulars who love it for a light, fresh meal.
The perfect afternoon tea
Massey's homemade tiramisu, orange cake, blueberry cake, and cannoli are the perfect options for a mid-afternoon break. If you're a coffee lover, be sure to ask about Massey's coffee loyalty card.
Bay Fish Aqhop
A favourite seaside pastime is to grab fish and chips and soak up the atmosphere by the beach. For your local fish and chips fix, visit The Bay Fish Shop, now under new management. A family-run business that has been a staple in Glenelg since 1953. New owner Janne Henriksen Sjostrom was inspired to take over the business with her experience in the hospitality industry and her son's passion for cooking. They offer a variety of fish, including whiting, flake, butterfish, barramundi, and garfish. If you're looking for something more than fish and chips, they also have an extensive menu, including homemade hamburgers.
Must try menu options
Traditional fish and chips are a top seller, served with or without vinegar, a fresh lemon wedge, and a choice of sauce. Another popular dish is their homemade burgers, featuring a brioche bun, quality mince patty, and your choice of toppings, including bacon, cheese, and egg. And don't forget to try their homemade potato cakes, cooked in beer batter.
Phuket Thai
Phuket Thai Restaurant is a hidden gem. Established in 1988, this family-owned restaurant has been serving authentic Thai food in Glenelg for over 30 years. “Our goal is to take our customers on a culinary journey to Thailand with the flavours and aromas of our dishes. We want to transport our customers back to Thailand with every bite, which is why we use only the freshest ingredients and traditional cooking methods." The menu at Phuket Thai Restaurant is extensive, whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian. The Red Duck Curry is a must-try, featuring slow-cooked duck in a mild-to-medium-spiced curry, garnished with cherry tomatoes, pineapple, fresh capsicum, and basil.

Europa starts the day serving up hearty breakfast options like the Bruschetta Breakfast, Zucchini & Corn Fritters or Banana Crepes.
