The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) in 2024 is once again taking the plunge in support of the Special Olympics (SO) of South Australia (SOSA), which aims to raise awareness of people living with intellectual disabilities and help promote the day-to-day achievements of SO athletes within SA.

The torch run will progress along Jetty Road to Moseley Square, then onto the picturesque Glenelg beach for a 'polar' (like) swim, followed by a presentation of the athletes at Brian Nadilo Reserve, just north of the iconic Glenelg Jetty.

Building on the success of last years inaugural 'polar plunge', the supporters of the LETR (SA) are set to return to the winter waters at Glenelg in their dedicated effort to also raise funds for SOSA activities and the ongoing sports programs in SA.

Come show your support and help cheer on the men and women from SAPOL, SA Ambulance Service (SAAS), SA Metropolitan Fire Service (SAMFS) and the stoic water patrollers of Surf Life Saving SA as they take to the frigid Winter water of Glenelg for a great cause.

*SAPOL will assist to manage traffic down Jetty Road from 11.30am to 11:50am
