Mitcham Camp was the training ground for thousands of South Australians who enlisted to fight for the AIF in the First World War. The camp developed from bare paddocks to become, after early difficulties, a 'model camp for the Commonwealth'. Now the suburb of Colonel Light Gardens, it is an important part of the historic landscape of Adelaide. Join author of From Here They Marched, Gavin Scrimgeour, who will also touch on Morphettville Camp where so many of Glenelg’s own enlisted.
