Compounding favourites

Compounding is the process of creating personalised medications by combining individual ingredients to meet the specific needs of each patient. We asked the team, for some of their most popular compounded products.

Numbing Gel (Topical, 5g)

Our numbing gel is a topical solution that can be applied to the skin before cosmetic procedures such as eyebrow microblading, lip injections, or piercings. The gel contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that numbs the area for a period of time, making the procedure more comfortable for the patient.

Travel Sickness Capsules (30 capsules)

Our compounding pharmacist has formulated a specialised medication to help those who suffer from travel sickness. This medication contains quality ingredients and requires no prescription. It is made to order and can be customised to meet the specific needs of each patient.

Children's Teething Gel (10ml)

This teething gel has a pleasant banana flavour. The gel contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that helps to alleviate discomfort in the mouth. It also contains chlorhexidine, an antiseptic that helps to prevent infection. This gel was formulated using a similar recipe used by one of Australia's leading children's hospitals. It can also be helpful for adults or teenagers who are new to braces or other dental work.

Collagen 285mg 100 capsules

Collagen is used to support the structural integrity of the skin and decrease skin aging by increasing skin elasticity, reducing wrinkles, and smoothing fine lines. It also increases skin hydration and improves moisture levels.

Physio one

For those with orthopaedic, sports, and musculoskeletal problems, Physio One is one of Adelaide's leading physiotherapy and rehabilitation options in Glenelg. The team focuses on individualised physiotherapy treatment plans that cater to people of all ages and abilities. Their high-quality, evidence-based therapy uses the latest techniques, including manual therapy, exercise therapy, rehabilitation, dry needling, and pilates.

One of the most used treatments is manipulative therapy, a form of hands-on therapy that aims to produce a desired movement or therapeutic effect in part of the body. It is used to restore movement to stiff joints and can also be used to mobilise soft tissues, such as muscles, and neural tissues, such as nerves. Manipulative therapy is a powerful tool in physiotherapy and can help to restore pain-free movement and function. At Physio One, the team uses a range of other modalities to enhance the effects of manipulative therapy, ensuring that patients get the best outcome possible.
