The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is back in 2025 and once again taking the plunge in support of Special Olympics South Australia (SOSA), aiming to raise awareness of people living with intellectual disabilities and celebrate the everyday achievements of SO athletes across the state.
Join in the fun of the LETR SA’s 2025 POLAR PLUNGE for the Special Olympics. There is a Polar Plunge being held in every Australian and New Zealand capital city!
Enter yourself individually or as part of a team and join LETR and Special Olympics athletes. The event is raising funds for the athletes of Special Olympics Australia. Costumes are encouraged!
The Flame of Hope torch run will proceed along Augusta Street, Colley Terrace, and Moseley Square, finishing at the Beachouse for the ceremony. The event will then transition into a 'polar plunge'-style activity inside the Beachouse.
Come and show your support and help cheer on the men and women from SAPOL, SA Ambulance Service (SAAS), SA Metropolitan Fire Service (SAMFS) and the stoic water patrollers of Surf Life Saving SA as they take the plunge for a great cause.
*SAPOL will assist in managing traffic along Colley Terrace and down August Street from 9.15am to 10:15am.
